Project Overview:
- Intellias is looking for a skilled Python Automation Engineer who is experienced in the automotive domain.
- The AQA team will work on production or prototype test bench automation tasks that include automating manual tests for several projects or platforms. In addition, the team will be responsible for extension of developed by client Python framework. Automation tasks will also include extending capabilities of automated flashing, coding, and maintenance of test benches. The AQA engineer should be ready for short business trips across Europe from time to time.
Requirements:
- 4 years of experience in Automotive test automation.
- Strong Python skills (OOP) with deep experience on testing frameworks e.g. Pytest.
- Automotive domain experience, specifically testing infotainment or connected-car systems.
- Hands-on CI/CD/CT experience.
- Proficiency with Git and code review workflows.
- Strong debugging skills for analyzing logs and system traces on embedded hardware.
- Fluent English communication skills.
- Understanding the role of documentation, including test specifications, test reports, and coverage plans.
- First-hand experience with HiL, SiL or test bench set-up.
- Nice to Have:
- Experience with VW Group tools and environments like ODIS and IDEX.
- Knowledge of automotive protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet, UDS).
- Familiarity with Linux environments and shell scripting.
- Understanding of automotive standards like ASPICE or the V-Model.
- Ability to innovate and adapt to a rapidly changing environment.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with team members to identify testing needs and prioritize them.
- Develop and execute automated test scripts to validate software functionality and reliability.
- Modify test cases to suit automated testing requirements and prepare test data and environments.
- Enhance existing test automation solutions.
- Analyze test results and provide regular test reports.
- Debug and troubleshoot issues that arise during testing.
- Participate in continuous improvements, including platform tooling and processes.
