Rather than spending the majority of your day handling traditional end-user tickets, you'll gain hands-on experience supporting Windows Servers, virtualization, Fortinet networking, backups, infrastructure monitoring, and physical infrastructure across multiple client environments.

The long-term goal is to develop this person into a stronger Systems / Infrastructure Engineer, with increased ownership of server, networking, virtualization, and project-based work as they grow technically.

What You'll Be Doing

Monitor and respond to server, network, backup, and infrastructure alerts across multiple client environments.

Troubleshoot and remediate Windows Server, network, storage, and hybrid infrastructure issues.

Support and configure Fortinet firewalls and networking equipment.

Work with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, VLANs, switching, and basic routing.

Support VMware vSphere and Hyper-V environments.

Perform server, hypervisor, firewall, and network hardware patching/firmware updates.

Monitor backup and replication jobs and remediate routine failures.

Build, configure, stage, and deploy servers and infrastructure hardware.

Assist with infrastructure upgrades, deployments, and client projects.

Troubleshoot infrastructure issues remotely and escalate more complex engineering issues when appropriate.

Maintain technical documentation, asset records, and infrastructure configurations.

Work alongside senior Infrastructure and Engineering resources to continue expanding your technical skill set.

Participate in a scheduled after-hours on-call rotation.

What We're Looking For

1–3+ years of hands-on IT experience in an MSP, NOC, infrastructure, systems, or technical support environment.

MSP or multi-client experience is strongly preferred.

Working knowledge of Windows Server and Active Directory.

Experience with or exposure to VMware and/or Hyper-V.

Understanding of DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, VLANs, switching, and basic routing.

Hands-on Fortinet experience — configuration and troubleshooting.

Comfortable troubleshooting server and network infrastructure.

Experience working with physical server/network hardware, cabling, and deployments.

Strong documentation and ticket-management habits.

Comfortable communicating directly with clients.

Ability to recognize when an issue requires escalation while continuing to learn from senior engineers.

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
