Join the Name List Screening (NLS) team within Anti-Financial Crime (AFC) to build secure, scalable Google Cloud services that support the Bank’s global screening capabilities. As a Java Backend Engineer, you will work with a cross-functional Agile team to modernise critical applications, strengthen monitoring and screening controls, and help protect Deutsche Bank and society from financial crime.
Responsibilities
- Design, provision, and optimise secure, scalable infrastructure and platform services on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform and automate deployment, configuration, and operational processes.
- Build and enhance CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions to automate build, testing, deployment, and release workflows.
- Manage GCP release governance, IAM, security controls, vulnerability remediation, resilience, and disaster recovery readiness.
- Collaborate with Engineering, QA, Security, Product, and Platform teams to support migrations, production releases, and incident resolution.
- Essential: Apply strong GCP skills across GKE, Compute Engine, networking, storage, IAM, monitoring, and logging.
- Essential: Build automated cloud infrastructure with Terraform, configuration management, and reusable Infrastructure as Code practices.
- Essential: Develop reliable CI/CD and release workflows using Git, GitHub Actions, DevOps practices, and source code management.
- Essential: Operate Kubernetes, Docker, and Helm environments using Linux, Python, automation scripting, SRE, and incident-response skills.
- Preferred: Demonstrate cloud migration, performance and cost optimisation, governance, stakeholder communication, and cross-functional problem-solving skills.
