Your Responsibilities
As a Engineer, Software for John Deere Research & Development Center located in East Moline, IL, you will:
- Develop Gen5 display software using C++ and Qt/QML in an embedded Linux environment
- Design, develop, and maintain Model-Based Software Design (MBSD) solutions utilizing MATLAB/Simulink for automation and embedded functionalities based on established architecture and design specifications.
- Implement features and resolve defects following defined requirements
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and software integration
- Collaborate with systems, PV&V, and senior engineers
- Experience with C or C++, or MATLAB/Simulink/Stateflow.
- Exposure to embedded Linux or real-time systems
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Experience with embedded Linux, real-time systems, or distributed systems
- Proficiency in Qt/QML, Python, or MATLAB/Simulink
- Knowledge of version control systems such as Git or equivalent
- Internship or EDP experience in embedded software development
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field
