Desktop Support Technician (Onsite) - Port Arthur, TX

Overview

We are seeking a Desktop Support Technician to provide onsite technical support in a fast-paced enterprise environment. This role is ideal for an IT professional who enjoys hands-on troubleshooting, working directly with end users, and delivering exceptional customer service. The successful candidate will support desktop hardware, software, networking, and mobile technologies while ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.

This is a long-term contract opportunity offering stability, professional growth, and the chance to support a large-scale enterprise environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide onsite deskside and remote support for end users
  • Troubleshoot desktop and laptop hardware, software, and operating system issues
  • Support Microsoft Windows environments and business applications
  • Resolve Outlook, email, and user profile issues
  • Troubleshoot printers, peripherals, and connectivity problems
  • Support mobile devices and related technologies
  • Use ticketing systems to document, track, and resolve incidents
  • Perform workstation deployments, upgrades, and hardware replacements
  • Escalate complex issues when necessary while maintaining ownership through resolution
  • Deliver a high level of customer service and support to users, including VIP stakeholders

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of Desktop Support, Deskside Support, or End User Support experience
  • Strong experience troubleshooting Windows operating systems
  • Experience supporting Microsoft Outlook and Office applications
  • Knowledge of hardware troubleshooting and break/fix support
  • Understanding of networking fundamentals and command-line troubleshooting tools
  • Experience with ticketing systems such as ServiceNow or similar platforms
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting executive or VIP users
  • Experience with mobile device support
  • Familiarity with Active Directory user administration
  • Experience working within SLA-driven support environments

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Port Arthur, TX.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $33.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
