Overview
Support and maintain industrial systems, including datacenter platforms, hypervisors, networking systems, DCS/PLC systems, and/or Windows/Linux server environments. Participate in system design, installation, upgrades, troubleshooting, and customer support across multiple industries/platforms. We are considering both experienced and early career levels. The administrator level is expected to lead activities and play a more active role in project/service management, design, and documentation. The technician level is expected to execute assigned project and maintenance tasks such as software installations and system patching.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain Windows/Linux Servers (AD, DNS, RDS, IIS), Hypervisor environments, container orchestrators, managed switches, firewalls, CI/CD infrastructure, and/or VPS/cloud infrastructure.
- Design, install, and document software, network, and/or server infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot/diagnose systems of all kinds when they are not functioning properly including:, servers, networks, PLC/SCADA/DCS systems, software environments,etc.
- Perform system upgrades, patching, and preventative maintenance.
- Lead or support FAT/SAT testing, field cabinet testing, and commissioning.
- Deploy, monitor, and maintain software automation pipelines.
- Provide on-site and remote customer support and troubleshooting.
- Respond to service requests, create service tickets, document troubleshooting/resolutions.
- Participate in emergency on-call rotation
- Collaborate with project teams on system integration and infrastructure setup
- Assist with FEED & sales activities such as site walkdowns, system design, estimating as needed.
- AS/BS in Engineering, Computer Science, or IT-related field
- 0–5 yr (technician) 5-10+ yr (administrator) experience in IT/OT or control/automation systems.
- Proficiency with networking, Virtualization, Windows administration, and control systems (DeltaV Strongly Preferred)
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills
- Ability to travel extensively (locally) and lift up to 60 lbs
- Experience with firewalls (Cisco, Fortinet), wireless Aps, managed switches.
- Familiarity with Cisco/Emerson switches, Dell hardware, and industrial protocols (OPC, Modbus, Ethernet/IP, etc.)
- Some familiarity with software system maintenance/deployment is a plus.
- Control system programming, system integration, and industrial communication
- Familiarity with PLCs, SCADA, MES, and data historians (e.g., OSI PI, IP.21, DataParc)
