About The Role

Procure Ai is expanding its business with public-sector organizations in Germany (DACH market), and we are looking for a General Manager Public Sector to build and develop this market.

This is an entrepreneurial, end-to-end role for someone who understands the German (DACH) public sector, knows how public procurement works, and has the network and commercial drive to turn a market opportunity into a scalable business.

You will own the Public Sector business across the customer lifecycle — from building Procure Ai's presence and network in the market, generating demand and developing opportunities through winning customers, leading engagements and growing those relationships over time.

You will be the central owner of our Public Sector customers and opportunities. Our technical, product and launch teams will provide functional expertise and implementation support, while you remain accountable for the overall customer relationship and commercial success.

The role combines business building, public procurement, consulting and technology. It is particularly suited to someone who has worked in strategy or management consulting and subsequently taken meaningful ownership of technology, cloud, digital transformation or public-sector initiatives.

Impact & ownership

• Build the market. Develop Procure Ai's position in the German public sector and establish us as a relevant partner for AI-enabled procurement transformation.
• Build relationships and networks across public institutions, public enterprises, partners and the broader Public Sector ecosystem to create new business opportunities.
• Lead opportunities from initial relationship and problem definition through solution shaping, procurement and contracting in a close cooperation with your internal colleagues.
• Understand public tendering and procurement mechanisms and use this knowledge to develop realistic routes to market and position Procure Ai effectively.
• Translate customer challenges into commercially and operationally viable approaches, working with Solution Delivery, Product and Engineering where deeper functional or technical expertise is required.
• Turn early customer wins and market learnings into repeatable approaches, partnerships and go-to-market playbooks.

Requirements

• 7–10+ years of relevant professional experience across consulting, technology, business development and/or digital transformation.
• Significant experience working with the German public sector and a strong understanding of how public institutions operate and make purchasing decisions.
• Strong knowledge of public procurement and tendering processes in Germany is preferred.
• A strong strategy and consulting foundation, ideally gained in a leading management or strategy consulting environment.
• Experience with technology, cloud, enterprise software, digital transformation or AI-related initiatives.
• Demonstrated ability to develop senior relationships and navigate complex stakeholder environments.
• Commercial mindset and experience identifying, shaping and developing new business opportunities.
• Fluent German and English.
