This role is responsible for verifying equipment and tooling through all phases of product and equipment validation within a casting manufacturing environment. Main responsibility is to qualify machinery along with all tooling change outs. The successful candidate must be able to buy-off the equipment and ensure milestones are met on time. Position is based onsite at a casting manufacturing facility in Bay City, MI and may require onsite support at supplier locations as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Verify equipment and tooling throughout all stages of validation.
- Qualify machinery and support tooling changeovers.
- Perform equipment buy-offs and ensure project milestones are met on time.
- Provide onsite support to suppliers when needed.
- Analyze, interpret downtime data and implement corrective actions.
- Work closely with plant and supplier teams to resolve equipment issues.
Requirements:
- Experience with equipment validation and machinery qualifications.
- Ability to interpret downtime and performance data.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Manufacturing experience, preferably in casting or automotive environments.
- Hands-on experience with CNC machining and block/prismatic machining processes.
- Manufacturing mindset and good communication skills.
- Bachelors degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical or related experience
- Minimum of 5 years of manufacturing experience.
