Member/Senior Member, Tech Ops (Private Credit)

The Private Credit Tech group at D. E. Shaw & Co. is looking for a Member/Senior Member TechOps to join our Tech team based in Hyderabad or Gurugram. This team is an extension of the firm's Private Credit business, based in the New York and London offices. The Private Credit business involves providing loans to private companies to facilitate capital for business growth, expansion, or refinancing existing debt. The Private Credit Tech team plays a critical role by developing the tools used by the business team for their daily workflows, working closely with the analysts to build analytical and operational tools that streamline pre- and post-trade business functions.

WHAT YOU'LL DO DAY-TO-DAY:

As a member of the Private Credit India team, you will provide on-demand frontline support for Private Credit's production applications and infrastructure — monitoring services, triaging issues, and debugging across application, data, and system layers. You will support software deployments and configuration changes with minimal business impact, own incidents end-to-end, and coordinate with engineering, infrastructure, business users, and third-party vendors during critical issues. You will also maintain the team's ops documentation and request system and use scripting along with LLMs and AI-assisted tools to automate repetitive tasks and continuously improve operational efficiency.

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

The ideal candidate should hold-

Basic qualifications:

• A graduate degree in Bachelor/Master of Technology in Computer Science or other related fields
• 2 to 4 years of professional work experience
• Significant experience in OOP paradigm (Python/C++/Java), with a robust background in Data structures and Algorithms with experience on Linux
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and must have the ability to execute projects end-to-end
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with technical and non-technical stakeholders

Preferred qualifications:

• Prior experience in the finance domain, particularly in private credit, fixed income, or capital markets, exposure to CI/CD pipelines, Experience using LLMs or AI-assisted developer tools (e.g., Claude Code, Copilot) to accelerate ops and automation work
