What We Are Looking
Location: Zurich Workload: 80–100% Employment: Permanent
Our client, a leading Swiss IT services organisation, is looking for an experienced Senior Linux Engineer to support the operation, development and expansion of its OpenStack cloud environment.
Your Responsibilities
- Operate, develop and automate cloud platforms
- Design, build and optimise the OpenStack environment
- Implement infrastructure automation using Ansible, OpenTofu and Terraform
- Ensure performance, availability, security and platform stability
- Troubleshoot complex issues at 2nd and 3rd level
- Collaborate with infrastructure, network and storage teams
- Contribute to cloud architecture and technology decisions
- Several years of experience as a Linux System/Platform Engineer or Linux Administrator
- Strong Linux expertise in complex enterprise environments
- Experience with automation and configuration management
- Knowledge of cloud platforms, virtualization, containers and Infrastructure as Code
- Good understanding of networking, storage and high-availability environments
- OpenStack experience is highly advantageous
- German C1 and good English required
- Willingness to participate in on-call duty
