Primary Duties And Responsibilities
- Provides the first call response focused on providing pricing and quoting the customer identified solution.
- Engages with the customer to understand the scope of the solution request.
- Utilizes knowledge and tool sets to configure, price, quote, and process requests for specific hardware, software, services for identified configuration design solutions.
- Works cooperatively with management and others across the organization to achieve shared objectives.
- Creates and delivers initial solution to the customer, determining and communicating lead-time and delivery based on product availability, build lead times, etc.
- Provides assigned-territory customers with information to assist in making additional decisions regarding hardware, software, services, and/or services renewal, and warranty. Initiate actions to identify and manage areas of opportunity.
- Adheres to customer program requirements utilizing customer contract information to ensure enforcement of terms, freight, inventory, pricing, etc.
- Supplies final adjusted design solution pricing based on applicable programs, promotions and add-ons.
- Uses internal resources to resolve or escalate all pertinent pre-sales issues, e.g., credit, engineering, etc. Effectively follows through on commitments.
- Refers requests for product education and product alternatives outside of their area of knowledge to others.
- Follows up on all opportunities and monitors the pipeline activity to close within the identified forecast period.
- Contributes information to forecast consolidations.
- Participates in planning and reviews for customers in the assigned territory.
- Implements actions identified by management to resolve identified budgets gaps.
- Maintains integrity of customer information in TD SYNNEX systems, as appropriate.
- Demonstrated subject matter expert working knowledge of product, pricing, customer service, and sales strategy.
- Demonstrated subject matter expert working knowledge of simple configuration solutions design, including tools, products and services, practices, procedures and methods.
- Demonstrated ability to identify and use appropriate tools to price simple configuration requests.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of sales and quoting systems.
- Demonstrated verbal, written, interpersonal communications skills sufficient to collaborate work in a successful team environment and effectively interface with supplier and customer representatives by telephone and e-mail.
- Demonstrated subject matter expert attention to detail and the ability to organize, prioritize, and accomplish multiple tasks based on identified process requirements.
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations.
- Knowledge of distribution industry.
- Experience in a configuration, sales, or other related role with extensive customer service interface in a technical or product support role within a computer products, system solutions-related distribution business, or similar environment.
- Associate Degree in business, IT, or related field or an equivalent combination of formal education, training and directly related job experience.
- Product/supplier certifications as required.
