Title : Data Center Construction Manager / Foreman

Location : Abilene, TX and Colorado City, TX.

Salary : $90 - 100k/yr

Duration : Fulltime

Position Summary

We are seeking a proactive, hands-on Construction Manager to oversee large-scale construction teams in dynamic project environments. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and according to quality standards. This role requires strong leadership, the ability to manage diverse teams, and a focus on timely execution. Prior experience leading construction crews, managing personnel, and driving operational results is essential. Deep technical knowledge related to fiber or data center infrastructure is helpful but not mandatory; leadership, accountability, and a sense of urgency are the top priorities.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise large construction crews and field personnel, including cable pullers, splicers, storage and materials management staff, and safety teams.
• Oversee daily activities within active construction sites and data hall environments to maintain productivity and quality.
• Direct the work of teams involved in rack installation, fiber and copper cabling, testing, and safety compliance.
• Ensure proper staffing, organization, and productivity throughout each shift, managing a workforce that can include 30+ personnel, with responsibility for over 100 workers across multiple projects.
• Track project progress using scheduling tools, monitor installation activities, and ensure work remains on schedule.
• Conduct quality control checks to verify adherence to standards and specifications.
• Quickly identify performance issues or safety concerns and take corrective actions to resolve them.
• Manage materials and ensure crews have the necessary equipment and supplies to complete each phase efficiently.
• Collaborate with project leaders and other managers to communicate progress, staffing needs, and project priorities.
• Support workforce coordination through scheduling and project management applications.
• Travel to various project sites as required and adapt to changing project needs and locations.

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience managing construction crews, field teams, or similar large workforces.
• Experience supervising at least 30+ employees, with capacity to oversee 100+ personnel across multiple projects.
• Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills.
• Ability to hold personnel accountable for performance and safety standards.
• Excellent organizational skills and experience with project-tracking tools such as Excel or similar software.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, with a hands-on approach often spent actively managing field operations.
• Basic computer proficiency, including experience with software for scheduling and project tracking.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent; college degree is not required.
• Willingness to travel and/or relocate based on project needs.

Preferred Qualifications

• Construction management or site supervision experience.
• Familiarity with data centers, structured cabling, telecommunications, fiber, copper, or rack installation.
• Experience managing teams such as cable pullers, splicers, safety personnel, or materials handlers.
• Knowledge of scheduling and workforce management applications.
• Demonstrated ability to oversee projects from mobilization to completion, with strong operational oversight.
• While fiber experience is not mandatory, candidates with general construction leadership and strong management skills will be considered favorably.
