Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations, journal entries, and accruals.
- Assist in the preparation of reports and budgets, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Conduct financial analysis as needed to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Participate in internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and addressing audit inquiries.
- Maintain and enhance internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure adherence to accounting policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes, optimize resources, and drive efficiency.
- Monitor cash flow, accounts receivable and payable as required to ensure timely collections and payments.
- Prepare and support tax calculations and filings, including sales/use tax and other reporting requirements.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations.
- Provide support for special projects, financial analysis, and strategic planning initiatives.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting with minimum of 3 years of practical accounting experience.
- Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and GAAP.
- Knowledge of sales and tax filings with previous experience required.
- Proficiency with accounting software and experience with software system implementation.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products.
- Able to adapt to an always evolving, fast paced environment with a keen sense of urgency.
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to resolve complex issues or escalate as necessary.
- Analytical ability to develop and implement improvements or recommendations.
- Excellent time management and project management.
- Incredible precision, attention to detail, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with accounting and operations teams. Able to work well with senior executives and team, as well as support and cross-train other team members.
