Director of Finance | Path to CFO | PE-Backed Manufacturing Platform

Connect Search is hiring the head of finance for a private equity–backed manufacturing platform that's growing fast — record sales, EBITDA well ahead of budget, and an active M&A pipeline. This isn't a "wait your turn" Director role. You'll own the finance function across multiple operating companies, sit at the table with the PE sponsor's deal team, and be the one they turn to on the next acquisition.

This role is built for someone 7–9 years into their career who has the technical chops (CPA desirable) but is hungry for more scope than a traditional Controller or Senior Manager seat offers — and who wants a clear, defined runway to CFO as the platform scales toward a future sale.

What you'll own:

• Financial reporting, forecasting, and multi-entity consolidation across the platform
• Direct reporting relationship with the PE sponsor — investor reporting, KPIs, board-level analysis
• M&A due diligence and integration of newly acquired operating companies
• Manufacturing cost analysis, margin improvement, and capital ROI decisions
• Building out finance capability at a newer platform company that doesn't have one yet
• Banking relationships, cash flow, and working capital management

What you bring:

• Manufacturing/industrial finance background, ideally with multi-entity exposure
• Private equity–backed company experience a strong plus
• A hands-on operator's mindset — comfortable in the weeds and in the boardroom
• Active CPA license (preferred)

Compensation: Competitive base salary + annual performance bonus + equity participation.

Why now: This platform is 2 (soon 3) operating companies and growing via acquisition — meaning the person who takes this role now will be the one who shapes finance across the whole platform, not the one who inherits it built.
