Primary Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy AI-powered solutions and automated frameworks to address complex business challenges with an emphasis on responsible use of AI
- Use enterprise-approved AI tools to streamline workflows, automate data transformation, and drive continuous improvement across data engineering pipelines
- Evaluate emerging technology trends to inform solution design, database architecture, and strategic data engineering innovation
- Build, optimize, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines and big data infrastructure using Spark, Scala, Python, and Java
- Develop advanced SQL and T-SQL procedures, database schemes, and automated validation rules across cloud database environments
- Configure, manage, and optimize cloud database and data orchestration technologies including Azure SQL Database, Databricks, ADLS, and Azure Data Factory
- Build and maintain automated CI/CD DevOps pipelines and write scripting automation using PowerShell and Linux Bash
- Perform performance tuning, code reviews, and automated testing across complex distributed big data platforms

Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional experience in Software Engineering
- 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering
- 5+ years of experience with SQL, T-SQL, and ETL development
- 3+ years of professional experience developing applications using Scala, Python, JSON, and Web Services
- 3+ years of professional experience working with distributed systems technologies such as Spark, Databricks, Hadoop, or Snowflake
- 2+ years of experience in Python development
- 2+ years of experience developing with Java/J2EE, Web Services, Spring, and Hibernate
- 1+ years of experience developing solutions hosted within public cloud providers such as Azure/AWS
- 1+ years of experience in CI/CD and DevOps practices
- 1+ years of experience with shell scripting and automation tools
- 1+ years of experience with AI/ML-driven solutions
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent technical experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Experience integrating enterprise AI capabilities, machine learning frameworks, or predictive analytics into ETL/database platforms
- Knowledge of responsible AI frameworks, data governance, and cloud security best practices
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum software development environment
- Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Data Engineer Associate, Azure AI Engineer Associate, or Azure Developer Associate)
