Indexed description
Our culture is built around five values: Bold & Unafraid, Ever-Evolving, Fluid, Tech for Humans, and Radical & Real. In practice, this means something quite simple: daring to speak up and propose new ideas, continuously learning, simplifying, using technology with purpose, and speaking openly to build better solutions together.
¿Do you want to join the Team?
We are looking for a Manager of BI & Data Engineering to lead our data strategy, infrastructure, analytics, integrations, and automation capabilities. This role will define the organizational data roadmap, ensuring that our data architecture is scalable, our business systems are properly integrated, our metrics are consistent, and our data actively supports automation and executive decision-making.
This role will report directly to our Chief Product & Technology Officer (CPTO), serving as the bridge between complex data engineering, platform architecture, and business growth.
What you will do at LETMINO:
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of data analysts and data engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning, high performance, and technical excellence.
- Executive Decision Support: Translate complex data structures into high-impact executive reports and insights to influence strategic business decisions and area-level roadmaps.
- Data Governance & Metric Consistency: Establish and oversee data governance frameworks to guarantee absolute consistency, integrity, and alignment of key business metrics across the entire organization.
- Data pipelines, Architecture & Efficiency Frameworks: Define, optimize, and enforce scalable frameworks for data efficiency, storage, and infrastructure-as-code across our data pipelines.
- Advanced Data Engineering Supervision: Oversee the design, orchestration, and documentation of advanced ETL/ELT pipelines and data models within AWS and Google Cloud environments.
- Automation & IA: Identify and implement opportunities to automate internal processes, including workflows and AI-powered internal agents, reducing manual work and improving organizational efficiency.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with Business, Product, Engineering, Finance, Sales, and Operations teams to translate business needs into scalable data, integration, and automation solutions.
- Solid experience (6+ years) in Data Analytics and Data Engineering, with at least 2-3 years leading and managing data teams in fast-paced or SaaS environments.
- Strategic & Analytical Vision: Strong ability to connect data initiatives with business outcomes, building analytical frameworks that drive organizational efficiency.
- Technical Background: Deep understanding of data architecture, infrastructure-as-code, and pipeline optimization. Advanced knowledge of SQL and Python. Hand-on work will be required.
- Cloud & ETL Expertise: Solid experience overseeing ETL/ELT processes and data warehousing in cloud environments, specifically AWS and/or Google Cloud.
- Advanced skills in data storytelling and communicating technical concepts, data insights, and findings clearly to C-level executives and non-technical stakeholders.
- Fluent in English (oral and written).
- Based in Madrid or nearby, as the position follows a semi-remote model with regular in-office collaboration.
- Experience setting and scaling data and engineering standards from scratch within an EdTech or B2B SaaS company.
- Familiarity with modern data stacks, and advanced data security compliance.
- Proactive mindset for process automation and continuous optimization of cloud costs.
- Fluent in Portuguese will be a plus
But we also offer:
- Be part of an international, creative and ambitious environment, where every person has a real impact and actively contributes to the company’s growth.
- Unlimited learning with LETMINOFY, our own learning platform with over 3 million pieces of content in all formats (books, audiobooks, videos, courses, movies and learning experiences).
- A flexible work model with remote options, allowing you to organize your schedule in a way that truly works for you.
- Work 100% remotely during July and August with shorter summer hours (8:00 – 15:00) for a better work-life balance.
- Your birthday off, so you can celebrate it your way.
- Flexible compensation plans, tailored to your needs: meals, transportation, childcare, training and private health insurance.
- Access to an emotional wellbeing app, with professional support to take care of your mental health.
