Staff Accountant

Company Description Premier Surgical Associates, headquartered in Knoxville, Tennessee, is the region’s largest vascular and general surgical group, offering general, vascular, bariatric, breast cancer, plastic surgery, and laparoscopic procedures. The organization operates General Surgery offices in Knoxville, Cleveland, and Johnson City, TN, and Premier Vascular & Vein Center locations in Knoxville, Jefferson City, Harriman, Lenoir City, Maryville, Newport, Oak Ridge, and Sevierville. Surgeons and staff provide comprehensive care supported by substantial experience, advanced expertise, and modern surgical technology. This is a remote position, but you must be a resident of TN within a 50-mile radius of Knoxville, TN.

No relocation allowance will be offered.

Reports to: Finance Director

Position Summary: Maintain accurate financial records, prepare reports, and ensure compliance with accounting principles.

Requirements:

· Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance

· 3+ years’ of accounting experience

· Experience with financial and variance analysis, budgeting and forecasting

· Meticulous attention to detail

· Strong analytical skills

· Ability to adhere to strict deadlines

· Experience and proficiency in MS Office products

· Ability to work from home as this position is primarily remote with some in person meetings at the corporate office

Responsibilities:

· Support month-end close activities and assist with preparation of financial statements

· Investigate and reconcile budget variances

· Process inventory transfers and allocations

· Responsible for set up of new inventory items

· Assist with tax filings and audits

· Monitor cash flow and support forecasting efforts

· Ensure accurate tracking and analysis of labor

· Prepare preliminary annual budgets
