Management Accountant

We're looking for an experienced Management Accountant to join an established national business based in Welshpool.

This is more than just preparing reports. You'll work closely with operational teams, analysing financial and operational data to understand performance, identify trends and provide insights that help drive better business decisions.

What you'll be doing

• Preparing weekly and monthly management accounts and P&L reporting
• Analysing budgets, forecasts, trends and variances
• Monitoring key operational costs
• Developing KPI reporting and turning data into meaningful insights
• Supporting month-end close, journals and reconciliations
• Working with large datasets and integrating information across financial systems
• Partnering with operational stakeholders to improve financial accuracy and performance
• Identifying opportunities to streamline reporting and accounting processes

What we're looking for

• Previous experience in Management Accounting or a similar role
• CPA or CA qualified or in the process of completing
• Tertiary qualification in Finance, Commerce or a related field
• Strong technical accounting and analytical skills
• Comfortable working with large datasets and financial systems
• Commercial mindset with an interest in understanding how the operation drives financial results
• Confident communicator who can build relationships across the business
