Senior Accountant, Corporate Accounting

Compensation: $90,000 – $105,000

Location: Remote

Public Accounting Experience Required. CPA Preferred.

This Senior Accountant, Corporate Accounting position supports the corporate accounting function of a large, multi-entity organization. Reporting directly to the Corporate Accounting Manager, this role works across general accounting, consolidations, financial reporting, cash flow, fixed assets, leases, audit support, and SOX compliance.

The Senior Accountant, Corporate Accounting also works with FP&A, Technical Accounting, Risk, Benefits, and subsidiary accounting teams, providing exposure to accounting activities across multiple areas of the organization.

Key Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant, Corporate Accounting

  • Prepare monthly corporate journal entries and supporting documentation
  • Complete monthly general ledger account reconciliations, schedules, and rollforwards
  • Investigate and resolve account discrepancies
  • Prepare monthly general ledger balance fluctuation analysis and research variances against expectations
  • Support consolidation of subsidiary financial results and investigate intercompany balance differences
  • Review monthly subsidiary reporting packages and prepare consolidated schedules and rollforwards
  • Assist with accounting for new fixed assets, debt, and lease transactions
  • Research applicable accounting guidance and document accounting considerations and conclusions
  • Maintain fixed asset and lease subledgers
  • Prepare corporate and consolidated segment balance sheet fluctuation analyses
  • Prepare statements of cash flows and cash flow forecasts
  • Prepare annual standalone and consolidating financial statements for various subsidiaries
  • Support general ledger maintenance, including new accounts, entities, and hierarchy changes
  • Identify opportunities to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of close and consolidation processes
  • Work with internal and external auditors on quarterly reviews, annual audits, and SOX 404 testing
  • Respond to accounting and financial information requests from internal stakeholders, including executive management

Qualifications For The Senior Accountant, Corporate Accounting

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
  • 2–3 years of public accounting experience within a medium-to-large public accounting firm required
  • CPA preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP
  • Experience with general ledger accounting, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement analysis
  • Experience supporting financial reporting, consolidations, or audit activities
  • Strong Microsoft Office proficiency
  • Experience with enterprise accounting, consolidation, or reconciliation systems is a plus
  • Experience or interest in developing automation tools or scripts to improve accounting processes strongly preferred
  • Exposure to Power Automate, Power Query, Copilot, Python, or SQL is a plus
  • Strong written and verbal communication, organization, and time-management skills
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and established reporting deadlines
