About the role


We are looking for a skilled and passionate Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable data architecture, pipelines, and infrastructure. In this role, you will work closely with Data Scientists, Software Engineers, and Business Analysts to transform raw data into accessible, high-quality datasets ready for analytics, reporting, and business-critical applications.


Your responsibilities:


• Architect, build, and maintain robust, scalable ETL/ELT pipelines integrating data from APIs, databases, logs, and third-party platforms.

• Design, manage, and optimize data warehouses and operational databases to ensure performance, scalability, and reliability.

• Implement data quality frameworks, validation processes, and automated monitoring solutions.

• Optimize database schemas, queries, and processing workflows to support growing volumes of data and low-latency requirements.

• Collaborate with Data Scientists and Analytics Engineers to deliver clean, structured datasets and feature stores for machine learning and analytics.

• Enforce data governance standards, security controls, and compliance with privacy regulations such as GDPR.


Must have:


• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related quantitative field.

• Strong proficiency in SQL and Python.

• Experience with cloud data platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.

• Hands-on experience with workflow orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow, Dagster, or Prefect.

• Knowledge of modern data stack technologies including dbt, Kafka, Spark, and/or Snowflake.

• Strong understanding of data modeling concepts, including Star Schema, Data Vault, relational, and NoSQL databases.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.


Nice to have:


• Experience working with large-scale data platforms and distributed data processing environments.

• Familiarity with CI/CD practices for data engineering workflows.

• Experience supporting machine learning or advanced analytics initiatives.

• Relevant cloud or data engineering certifications.
