Job Description

Our Regional Finance Team is seeking a highly motivated individual as Accounts Payable Service Delivery Lead, to proactively lead and shape AP processes across all of foodpanda’s verticals (i.e. Platform and New Verticals), and to ensure effective controls and efficient process are in place.

Responsibilities:

Primary:

• Lead and manage the end-to-end Accounts Payable function across the region
• Own and manage the service delivery and performance with defined SLAs/KPIs in the assigned region
• Coach and develop team members to drive a high-performing culture to support talent density and robust succession planning; conduct performance reviews, manage employee development, and address performance issues.
• Support hiring decisions and onboarding of employees
• Collaborate with process and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure effective and efficient process operations.
• Ensuring the process complies with any regulations and internal controls/risk management measures
• Support and implement cost optimization initiatives and productivity improvements.
• Provides input to enhance policies, procedures, and controls based on practical experience and data
• Able to prepare detailed reporting, provide analysis or insights on various data/reports and present performance results to relevant stakeholders in governance forums for the assigned region (e.g. Monthly, Quarterly Business Review, etc.).
• Liaise with the Regional Process Owners and GRC on managing relevant policies and procedures affecting AP processes
• Lead and/or support standardization and optimization initiatives across regions, identifying process bottlenecks to spearhead innovative solutions and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
• Actively help to solve systemic or complex issues and problems in an effective manner

Qualifications

• 8+ years of AP experience, including 5+ years leading teams, within a multinational SSC or tech environment.
• Demonstrated experience in leading and managing managers
• Professional certifications such as CPA, CA, and ACCA are preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, Business Management, or an equivalent qualification from an accredited institution.
• Proficient in ERP and expense management systems (Ariba, SAP, and Concur) and advanced productivity tools (Google Suite or Microsoft Office) for complex data analysis and reporting.

Experience & Knowledge

• Strong communication and analytical skills, with a proven ability to anticipate upstream and downstream process impacts.
• Process-oriented with an understanding of both financial and operational controls
• Proven track record of managing stakeholders and operations within complex, multinational tech environments, with a strong ability to maintain performance in fast-paced settings and manage remote teams
• Proven track record in leveraging KPI data to drive measurable performance gains and operational excellence.
• Expertise in navigating the complexities of a regional Shared Service Center, balancing high-volume delivery with stakeholder expectations.
• Skilled in managing internal and external audits, ensuring a robust control environment and full regulatory compliance.
• Understand regional payment and compliance requirements.
