Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Azure Data Architect with 10+ years of expertise in designing and delivering enterprise-scale cloud data platforms on Microsoft Azure. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF), Snowflake, and dbt, along with deep knowledge of data architecture, data modeling, governance, and cloud modernization. This role will define data architecture standards and design scalable solutions that support analytics and business intelligence requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performing data architectures on Microsoft Azure.
  • Architect end-to-end data platforms leveraging Azure services, Snowflake, and dbt.
  • Define enterprise data models, integration patterns, architecture standards, and reusable frameworks.
  • Lead data migration and modernization initiatives from legacy platforms to Azure and Snowflake.
  • Design and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines and orchestration frameworks using Azure Data Factory and dbt.
  • Establish best practices for data governance, security, metadata management, lineage, and data quality.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, solution architects, and engineering teams to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.
  • Drive architecture reviews, performance optimization, technology roadmap planning, and design governance.
  • Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentoring to data engineering teams.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in data engineering, data warehousing, data platforms, or data architecture.
  • Strong expertise in Microsoft Azure data services and cloud-native data architecture.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory for data integration, pipeline development, and orchestration.
  • Strong experience architecting, implementing, and optimizing Snowflake data warehouse solutions.
  • Expertise in dbt for data transformation, modeling, testing, documentation, and deployment.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL, Python and enterprise data modeling, including dimensional and normalized approaches.
  • Experience designing modern data lakes, data warehouses, and cloud-based analytics platforms.
  • Strong understanding of data governance, security, lineage, quality, and performance tuning.
  • Experience with CI/CD, Azure DevOps, version control, and deployment automation.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, solution design, and technical leadership skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Azure Databricks and Spark/PySpark.
  • Knowledge of Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2 and Azure Synapse Analytics.
  • Exposure to Power BI and enterprise analytics platforms.
  • Experience in BFSI or Insurance domain is an advantage.
  • Azure and/or Snowflake certifications are preferred.

The top of the range is reserved for candidates who notably exceed the requirements; the lower end applies to those with less experience or fewer preferred qualifications.
