Senior Technical Lead (Snowflake, AWS, Python)

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and hands-on Senior Technical Lead to drive the architecture, design, and delivery of enterprise data and analytics solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Snowflake, Python, AWS, and modern data engineering practices, with the ability to lead technical team, define scalable architectures, and ensure successful project execution from inception through production deployment.

This role requires a blend of technical leadership, solution design, and delivery accountability. The candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, product owners, architects, and engineering teams to translate business requirements into robust, scalable, and high-performing solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership & Solution Design

• Lead end-to-end solution architecture, design, and implementation of data and analytics platforms.
• Design scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions leveraging Snowflake, AWS, and Python.
• Review and approve technical designs, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture standards and best practices.
• Define data models, integration patterns, data governance, security, and performance optimization strategies.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to development teams.

• Own delivery of complex data and analytics initiatives from requirements through deployment and support.
• Drive project planning, estimation, resource allocation, and execution management.
• Track project milestones, dependencies, risks, and mitigation plans.
• Ensure solutions are delivered on time, within scope, and meet quality standards.
• Coordinate across business, product, architecture, QA, and engineering teams.

• Perform requirements analysis and source system data profiling.
• Identify and resolve data quality and data integrity issues.
• Design and implement data ingestion, transformation, and reporting solutions.
• Establish standards for data validation, monitoring, and operational support.

• Drive adoption of AI-assisted development tools and modern engineering practices.
• Identify opportunities for automation, performance improvements, and cost optimization.
• Promote engineering best practices, code quality, and DevOps principles.

• 10+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Warehousing, or Solution Development.
• 3+ years of experience leading technical teams and large-scale data initiatives.
• Strong hands-on expertise in Snowflake architecture, implementation, and optimization.
• Advanced Python development experience.
• Strong AWS experience, including services such as S3, Glue, Lambda, EMR, Athena, and Cloud-native data solutions.
• Experience with ETL/ELT frameworks, and enterprise data integration.
• Strong understanding of data governance, security, and data quality practices.
• Experience in project estimation, planning, and delivery management.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.

• Health Insurance or Healthcare domain experience.
• Experience with Claims, Member, Provider, Clinical, Care Management, or Value-Based Care data domains.
• Exposure to AI development.
• Experience leading distributed and offshore development teams.

A hands-on technical leader who can design enterprise-scale solutions, lead development teams, make architectural decisions, and take full accountability for successful delivery, while effectively collaborating with business and technology stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
