Job Summary: The Director of Data & Strategy leads the organization's data analytics for programs and operations which include food sourcing strategies, technology initiatives, and strategic improvement efforts. This role oversees the Food Donations Coordinator and Food Sourcing Coordinator while providing actionable insights that improve food acquisition, operational performance, and organizational decision-making. The position also serves as the project lead for major technology implementations, business intelligence solutions, and cross-functional strategic initiatives.

Duties/Responsibilities:

· Lead, mentor, and develop the Food Donations Coordinator, Food Sourcing Coordinator, and Data Analyst.

· Develop executive dashboards and key performance indicators (KPIs) using Power BI or similar business intelligence platforms.

· Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for feeding programs, including measures related to reach, service frequency, geographic coverage, food distribution, program utilization, and efficiency.

· Analyze operational, inventory, and sourcing data to drive strategic decisions.

· Analyze program and distribution data to identify trends, gaps, opportunities, and emerging needs across South Plains Food Bank feeding programs.

· Develop forecasting models for food demand, inventory levels, and sourcing opportunities.

· Oversee food sourcing and donation strategies to maximize pounds acquired, nutritional value, and cost efficiency.

· Identify new food donors, retail partners, and sourcing opportunities using data-driven analysis.

· Lead technology implementations including ERP, WMS, CRM, and cloud-based solutions.

· Manage cross-functional projects from planning through implementation using project management best practices.

· Evaluate business processes and recommend automation and continuous improvement initiatives.

· Collaborate with Operations, Programs, Finance, Development, and Executive Leadership to align organizational priorities.

· Present program data and insights to senior leadership in a way that connects data, operational realities, community need, and strategic priorities.

· Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in business Analytics, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field required; Master's preferred.

· Five or more years of progressive experience in analytics, operations, strategy, technology, or supply chain leadership.

· Minimum three years of supervisory experience.

· Advanced proficiency in Power BI (or similar), Microsoft Excel, and business intelligence tools.

· Experience leading ERP, WMS, finance, or cloud-based software implementations.

· Strong project management, analytical, and communication skills.

Travel Requirements:

· Travel required up to 25% throughout the South Plains Food Bank service area and for conferences or vendor meetings.

Physical Demands:

· Most functions are performed while seating at a desk or standing up 

· Occasional standing, walking, and lifting up to 25 pounds

Work Schedule:

· Monday—Thursday 8:00—5:30 and Friday 8-12

· Weekends and evenings when necessary.
