Senior Accountant

Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Senior Accountant, Financial Reporting to join our finance team. This role is responsible for preparing and reviewing financial statements, supporting month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring compliance with GAAP, and partnering with leadership to deliver accurate and timely financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have strong technical accounting expertise, excellent communication skills, and a passion for continuous process improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and supporting schedules.
• Lead key components of the month-end and year-end close process, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
• Ensure financial reporting is accurate and compliant with GAAP and company policies.
• Perform detailed balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances.
• Prepare internal management reports and provide financial analysis to support business decisions.
• Assist with external audits, including preparation of audit schedules and supporting documentation.
• Support technical accounting research and implementation of new accounting standards.
• Coordinate financial reporting requirements across multiple departments and business units.
• Develop and enhance accounting processes, controls, and reporting efficiencies.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis as needed.
• Partner with FP&A, operations, and executive leadership to provide financial insights and recommendations.
• Mentor and support junior accounting staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• CPA preferred or CPA-eligible.
• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
• Experience with month-end close, financial statement preparation, and account reconciliations.
• Advanced Excel skills required; ERP experience preferred.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Experience

• Public accounting experience highly preferred.
• Experience with multi-entity or consolidations.
• Familiarity with SEC reporting, technical accounting, or publicly traded environments.
• Experience supporting external audits and internal control compliance.
