Senior Fullstack Engineer (React, Django)
Indexed description
We’re a team of audio experts solving one of the hardest problems in speech technology.
Real conversations are messy. People interrupt each other, move around, sit at different distances from the microphone, and speak in rooms filled with reverb and background noise.
Most models are trained on synthetic mixtures because high-quality, paired recordings of real conversations are extremely difficult to collect. But models trained on simulated conditions often struggle when they meet the real world.
The solution:
We’ve built technology that captures both the room and the individual speakers at the same time.
That has given us something rare: a proprietary dataset of real conversations with the reference signals needed to train and evaluate a new generation of speech enhancement, separation, dereverberation, and spatial audio models.
Behind the simple experience is a sophisticated web product connecting browser-based audio, cloud processing, real-time updates, and production infrastructure.
The role:
We’re looking for an exceptional Senior Fullstack Engineer to help us build the next generation of that experience.
You’ll own features from the backend API to the final interaction in the browser and remain responsible for them in production. You’ll work directly with product, design, and the people closest to our users.
You’ll also help decide what we build, not only how we build it. We’re a small team, so your work can reach customers within days rather than quarters.
Our tech stack:
- React and TypeScript
- Python and Django
- PostgreSQL
- REST, OpenAPI, and WebSockets
- Web Audio API and WebAssembly
- Docker and Kubernetes
- Datadog and Sentry
Requirements:
You have at least five years of professional experience building and running web applications across the stack, and you are strong in both React and Django or an equivalent Python framework.
You write clean, readable code and you care about the details users notice: latency, animation, spacing, typography, how something feels when it is dragged, scrubbed or played.
You are hands-on and self-driven, you prefer shipping a small change today to a big one next month, and you are comfortable being the person who decides.
Experience with audio processing is important to us and preferred: the Web Audio API, DSP basics, codecs, streaming or multichannel audio. It is not a blocker for the right candidate; we will teach you the audio if you bring the engineering.
If you're interested in the audio-tech niche and would love to solve some cutting edge challenges we've taken on, please apply and we will get back to you right away.
