Salary: $130,000 - $170,000 per year

Our client, a growing manufacturing organization, is seeking an experienced Controller to oversee all accounting and financial operations. This individual will be responsible for managing the General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Treasury, and Payroll functions while ensuring accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance, strong internal controls, and continuous process improvement.

Financial Management & Reporting
- Oversee all accounting operations, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Treasury, and Payroll.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Manage month-end and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
- Analyze financial performance and provide recommendations to improve profitability and operational efficiency.
- Maintain the integrity and accuracy of the company's financial records.
- Manage inventory accounting, cost accounting, and standard costing processes.
- Monitor manufacturing variances, labor costs, overhead allocations, and inventory reserves.
- Partner with operations leadership to analyze production costs, margins, and operational performance.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and all applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
- Establish, maintain, and improve internal controls and accounting policies.
- Coordinate annual audits and serve as the primary liaison with external auditors, tax advisors, and banking partners.
- Manage sales and use tax reporting and other regulatory filings.
- Oversee cash flow forecasting and working capital management.
- Manage banking relationships, debt compliance, and treasury activities.
- Monitor liquidity and provide recommendations to optimize cash flow and financial performance.
- Lead and develop accounting staff while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency through automation and best practices.
- Support ERP system enhancements and other financial process improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Human Resources, Purchasing, and Executive Leadership.
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience within a manufacturing environment.
- 3+ years leading and managing accounting teams.
- Strong understanding of:
o Accounts Payable
o Accounts Receivable
o Treasury Management
o Payroll Administration
o Financial Reporting
o Cost Accounting
o Inventory Accounting
- Experience leading month-end and year-end close activities.
- Knowledge of GAAP and internal control frameworks.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and ERP systems.
- CPA and/or CMA designation.
- Experience in a multi-site manufacturing environment.
- ERP implementation or optimization experience.
- Experience supporting external audits and banking relationships
