- DTCC offers a flexible/hybrid model of 3 days onsite and 2 days remote (onsite Tuesdays, Wednesdays and a third day unique to each team or employee).
Your Primary Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain database solutions across cloud and on-premise environments.
- Write and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and database objects.
- Build and support ETL/ELT pipelines using tools such as DBT, Snowpipe, and COPY INTO.
- Develop and maintain data models, including relational, dimensional, star, and snowflake schemas.
- Manage and optimize databases on platforms such as Snowflake, SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, Databricks, and AWS.
- Implement data integration solutions using APIs, SFTP, and batch processing methods.
- Ensure data quality through validation, reconciliation, and data profiling activities.
- Monitor database and pipeline performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement performance enhancements.
- Implement security controls including RBAC, database roles, and access management.
- Maintain version control using Git and GitHub.
- Support Agile delivery processes, including participation in Scrum ceremonies and Jira-based project management.
- Minimum of 5 years of related experience
- Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.
- Strong experience with SQL and database development.
- Hands-on experience with Snowflake and at least one major database platform (SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, or Databricks).
- Experience designing data models and data warehouse solutions.
- Knowledge of ETL/ELT frameworks and data transformation techniques.
- Experience with AWS cloud services and data platforms.
- Understanding of database security, monitoring, and performance tuning.
- Familiarity with Git, GitHub, Jira, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with excellent communication abilities.
- Good communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments.
