Data Engineer
We're partnered with a well-established Nordic financial services organisation that's investing heavily in its modern data platform. Combining the stability of a long-standing business with the agility of a much smaller organisation, they're looking for a Data Engineer to help shape the next generation of their cloud-based data landscape.
Data is becoming increasingly central to how the business makes decisions, delivers services and develops new capabilities. As part of a collaborative Data & Analytics team, you'll play a key role in building the platforms and pipelines that make this possible.
About the role:This is an opportunity to join a business where engineering quality, collaboration and long-term thinking are genuinely valued.
Working with Microsoft Azure and Snowflake, you'll help design, develop and maintain modern data solutions that enable analytics, reporting and future AI initiatives across the organisation.
Rather than simply maintaining existing infrastructure, you'll have the opportunity to influence how the platform evolves, working alongside data professionals, architects and business stakeholders to build reliable, scalable and well-governed data products.
What you'll do:Design, build and optimise data pipelines using modern cloud technologies.Develop and maintain scalable data solutions across Azure and Snowflake.Improve the reliability, performance and quality of the organisation's data platform.Collaborate with analysts, data specialists and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver practical solutions.Support data modelling, transformation and integration across multiple business domains.Contribute to platform improvements, automation and engineering best practices.Help ensure data is secure, trusted and governed within a regulated environment.
About you:You'll enjoy solving technical problems but also understand the importance of building data platforms that deliver value for the wider business.
You'll likely have:Experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar data platform role.Strong experience working with Microsoft Azure data services.Hands-on experience with Snowflake.Good SQL skills and experience building scalable ETL/ELT pipelines.Experience working with cloud-based data platforms and modern engineering practices. An understanding of data modelling, performance optimisation and data quality.A collaborative approach and the ability to work closely with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Experience within financial services or other regulated industries would be beneficial but isn't essential.
Why join? This is a rare opportunity to join an organisation that combines the security and stability of an established financial institution with the culture and accessibility of a much smaller business.
You'll work in an environment where decisions are made quickly, ideas are listened to, and engineers have genuine influence over both technology and direction. The team values collaboration over hierarchy, encouraging knowledge sharing, continuous learning and long-term career development.
The organisation is investing significantly in its cloud data platform, meaning you'll be joining at an exciting stage where you'll help shape the future rather than simply inherit the past.
Alongside modern technologies including Microsoft Azure and Snowflake, you'll benefit from a supportive team, flexible hybrid working, excellent employee benefits and a culture built around trust, responsibility and sustainable growth.
If you're looking for a Data Engineering role where you'll have real ownership, work with modern cloud technologies and build solutions that make a genuine impact across the business, we'd love to hear from you.
