Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Decision BI (Core Operations)
- Own the end-to-end BI roadmap, ensuring data-driven insights directly influence C-suite strategic decisions (pricing, market entry, product development, and resource allocation).
- Design and maintain robust dashboards and KPIs that provide real-time visibility into business performance, operational efficiency, and financial health.
- Partner with Finance, Operations, and Sales to translate raw data into actionable narratives that drive profitability.
2. Competitive Cost Intelligence (NEW Unit Setup)
- Build from scratch a specialized intelligence sub-team dedicated to deep-dive competitor analysis.
- Lead the development of proprietary frameworks to estimate, benchmark, and track competitors' cost structures, including:
- Raw material sourcing and supply chain logistics.
- Manufacturing/production overheads and labor costs.
- R&D spend allocation and operational efficiencies.
- Establish a "War Room" discipline—delivering regular threat/opportunity assessments to leadership based on competitor cost movements and market shifts.
- Utilize advanced data collection methodologies (primary/secondary research, financial modeling, and data triangulation) to forecast competitor pricing strategies.
3. Team Leadership & Expansion
- Scale the team: Currently a lean structure; you will be responsible for hiring and mentoring a top-tier team (Data Analysts, Data Engineers, and Intelligence Specialists).
- Foster a culture of curiosity, rigorous hypothesis testing, and business acumen.
- Define the team's operating model, transitioning from reactive reporting to proactive "forward-looking" intelligence.
4. Data Infrastructure & Governance
- Oversee the optimization of our data warehouse and ETL pipelines to ensure high data quality and accessibility.
- Champion data literacy across the organization, providing training and self-service tools to non-technical stakeholders.
Key Qualifications
- Experience: 10+ years in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, or Strategy Consulting, with at least 4+ years in a leadership role. Experience in [insert relevant industry, e.g., Manufacturing, Tech, FMCG] is highly preferred.
- Cost Acumen: Proven experience in cost modeling, financial analysis, or supply chain analytics. You must be comfortable dissecting a P&L and reverse-engineering a competitor's unit economics.
- Technical Mastery: Expert proficiency in SQL, Python/R, and BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, or Looker). Familiarity with big data technologies (Spark, Hadoop) is a plus.
- Strategic Mindset: You don't just present data; you prescribe decisions. You can differentiate between "interesting" data and "mission-critical" intelligence.
- Leadership: Demonstrated ability to build a team from the ground up, define hiring criteria, and mentor junior talent. Experience managing through organizational transitions is a strong asset.
