Accounting Manager

Trueline's client, a stable and growing privately held business backed by a well-established global organization, is seeking an Accounting Manager to join its team in Cedar Park, Texas. This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced accounting professional who wants meaningful ownership, a true 8-5 schedule, and room to grow into new areas without the constant pressure and long hours that often come with senior accounting roles.

What You'll Do as the Accounting Manager:

• Own the month-end close process and ensure accurate, timely financial reporting
• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations across the business
• Manage and support two direct reports focused on accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Review reconciliations, journal entries, account activity, and other key accounting work
• Maintain strong internal controls and help improve accounting processes over time
• Partner closely with leadership and serve as a trusted accounting resource for the organization
• Identify opportunities to make processes more efficient, accurate, and scalable
• Take on additional projects and areas of responsibility over time based on your interests and strengths

Must-Haves as the Accounting Manager:

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong hands-on experience owning or playing a significant role in month-end close
• Solid understanding of general ledger accounting, reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting
• Experience overseeing or mentoring accounting staff
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of the accounting function
• Strong attention to detail with the judgment to understand the bigger business picture
• Intellectual curiosity and a genuine interest in learning, improving, and taking on new challenges
• Comfortable working primarily onsite in Cedar Park

Nice-to-Haves as the Accounting Manager:

• CPA
• Public accounting experience
• Experience in a privately held, distribution, manufacturing, or similarly operational business
• Previous Accounting Manager, Senior Accountant, or Assistant Controller experience
• Interest in expanding beyond traditional accounting responsibilities over time
