Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; an associate degree or higher in Information Technology or related field is preferred.
- Proven experience in an IT support or help desk role, preferably within a wholesale trade or similar industry.
- Strong knowledge of Windows and macOS operating systems, common business software, and basic networking concepts.
- Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software issues effectively and efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with non-technical users and document technical information clearly.
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP).
- Experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems used in wholesale trade environments.
- Familiarity with cloud services, virtualization technologies, and cybersecurity best practices.
- Prior experience supporting remote users and managing mobile devices.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple support requests simultaneously.
- Provide first-line technical support to employees by diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and network issues.
- Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, peripherals, and software applications to ensure optimal performance.
- Monitor and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and wireless access points, to ensure reliable connectivity.
- Document support activities, maintain inventory of IT assets, and escalate complex issues to senior IT staff when necessary.
- Assist in the implementation of IT policies, procedures, and security protocols to safeguard company data and systems.
- Conduct regular system updates, backups, and preventive maintenance to reduce the risk of technical failures.
- Train end-users on new technologies and best practices to maximize effective use of IT resources.
