Position Overview:

We are seeking a Sr. Accountant with experience in a professional services environment who thrives in a fast-paced setting and is eager to contribute to a collaborative leadership team.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including GL, AP/AR, payroll, and revenue recognition
• Participate in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes
• Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP
• Document and maintain internal controls, policies, and procedures
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning
• Coordinate and file monthly sales tax filings (experience with Avalara preferred)
• Liaise with external factoring companies, auditors, and tax advisors
• Support implementation and enhancements of accounting systems and process improvements
• Act as a business partner to senior leadership and department heads, providing financial insights and recommendations

Education & Certifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA preferred

Experience:

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Prior experience in a professional services firm preferred
• Some Avalara experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements
• Hands-on experience with accounting systems
• Must be willing to participate in the company’s pre-employment screening process and continuously meet any applicable State, County, and Municipal requirements
