Corporate Controller

The company is seeking a senior Regional / Corporate Controller to take ownership of the residential finance function and professionalize the accounting and financial infrastructure across its residential brands.

This is a high impact, hands on leadership position designed for someone who has already operated successfully at the Controller level and has the capability to ultimately step into a CFO role. The current CFO has transitioned into a fractional capacity and will continue supporting higher level responsibilities such as banking and private equity reporting.

The incoming Controller will operate as a "CFO lite" internally, with significant autonomy and direct exposure to the CEO, operating leadership, TriVest, banking relationships, and future M&A activity. For the right individual, there is a genuine pathway to become CFO within approximately 12 to 24 months, based on performance and the successful completion of key finance transformation initiatives.

The immediate focus will be the residential operations, particularly the Coral Springs / Fort Lauderdale market. The successful candidate will be expected to stabilize the finance organization, standardize processes, strengthen controls, improve reporting, and establish a repeatable model that can be deployed across future acquisitions.

This is not a developmental Controller position. The company needs an experienced finance leader who can immediately operate at a high level, get into the details, make difficult decisions, and build the infrastructure required for continued growth.

Responsibilities

• Lead finance and accounting across multiple residential locations and brands.
• Standardize accounting SOPs, controls, and reporting.
• Improve and standardize ServiceTitan workflows and integration with NetSuite.
• Strengthen inventory accounting and controls, particularly across HVAC operations.
• Standardize warranty accounting and claims processes.
• Improve month end close toward a 10 to 15 day target.
• Improve accuracy, timeliness, and visibility of financial reporting.
• Evaluate, restructure, and build the finance team as needed.
• Lead post acquisition finance integrations and develop a repeatable integration playbook.
• Support M&A, financial diligence, banking, and PE reporting as responsibilities expand.
• Partner with residential GMs and operating leaders to improve financial performance.
• Help prepare the business for its next stage of growth and eventual exit.

Qualifications

• Proven success as a Regional or Corporate Controller.
• Experience operating at a level capable of progressing into a CFO role.
• Residential HVAC and/or plumbing services experience required.
• Multi site or multi entity experience.
• ServiceTitan experience required.
• Experience building financial processes, controls, and infrastructure.
• Experience with acquisition integration.
• Private equity backed experience preferred.
• M&A and due diligence experience preferred.
• NetSuite experience preferred.
• CPA preferred.
