Characteristic Duties And Responsibilities
- Partner with the CEO and others to develop and execute short and long-term strategic plans
- Provide financial insights to support growth initiatives, acquisitions, capital investments, and operational improvements
- Lead financial modeling, scenario planning, and business performance analysis
- Serve as an advisor and make presentations to the Board of Directors
- Oversee all accounting operations, including general ledger, cost accounting, inventory valuation, and revenue recognition
- Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting
- Maintain compliance with related regulatory requirements
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes
- Drive product costing accuracy and standard cost management
- Monitor plant-level financial performance/KPIs, and margin improvement initiatives
- Partner with operations to improve efficiency, throughput, and working capital
- Oversee inventory controls, cycle counts, and capital expenditure tracking
- Support lean manufacturing, automation, and process improvement initiatives
- Manage cash flow, working capital, credit facilities, and banking relationships
- Assist executive leadership with capital allocation strategies aligned with company growth objectives
- Evaluate and structure debt/equity financing arrangements
- Oversee/assist with capital expenditure planning
- Perform ROI analysis for various initiatives and capital projects
- Establish and maintain strong internal controls and financial governance
- Oversee insurance/benefit programs, tax planning, and risk mitigation strategies
- Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and industry regulations as they relate to financial oversight
- Lead finance and accounting team members
- Promote a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement

Requirements
Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related business field
- In-depth knowledge of financial and accounting principles
- Minimum of 5-10 years as a financial officer/controller in manufacturing and distribution environments, or related field
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience with ERP software (preferable GSS software), Microsoft Office, and other related software
- Demonstrated knowledge in cost accounting and inventory management
- Proven team participation at various corporate levels
- 10+ years as a lead financial officer for a publicly traded corporation
- Certification as a CPA, ACCA, or CMA
- Advanced knowledge in multi-site operations
- Advanced knowledge of manufacturing costing
- Professional executive level behavior and communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Financial modeling
- Support and facilitate change management
- Ability to communicate/exchange information to individuals across the corporation
- Full-time position in corporate headquarters
- Travel to other corporate locations and related meetings
- Limited exposure in a direct manufacturing environment
