This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced SQL Server Developer to work in an enterprise data environment, developing and supporting SQL Server, SSAS and data solutions while contributing to transformation and modernisation initiatives.


Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver end-to-end SQL Server development, from requirements and impact analysis through to testing, deployment and support.
  • Develop and optimise SQL Server databases, stored procedures, views, functions and queries.
  • Use SSMS for database development, troubleshooting and performance tuning.
  • Develop and manage SSAS Tabular models and DAX solutions.
  • Monitor and optimise SSAS performance and environments.
  • Use Visual Studio to develop and manage SQL Server and SSAS solutions.
  • Support ETL/data integration, data quality, validation and reconciliation.
  • Contribute to data modelling, data warehouse development and platform enhancements.
  • Ensure solutions are robust, secure, scalable, maintainable and well documented.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and provide root-cause analysis.
  • Work with technical and business teams across projects, supporting change, deployment and release management.
  • Contribute to wider data transformation, cloud migration and modernisation initiatives.


Essential Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years' experience in SQL Server, Database Development, Data Warehousing or BI.
  • Strong Microsoft SQL Server / SSMS experience, including advanced SQL and stored procedure development.
  • Strong SSAS development and management experience, particularly SSAS Tabular and DAX.
  • Strong Microsoft Visual Studio experience, ideally developing SQL Server and SSAS solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of relational databases, data modelling and data warehousing.
  • Experience with ETL/data integration, ideally including SSIS.
  • Experience with Power BI, Git and Azure DevOps is advantageous.
  • Understanding of data quality, governance, security and enterprise data architecture.
  • Experience working through structured development, testing, deployment and release processes.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively across technical and business teams.
