Data Engineer (Snowflake/DBT)

Role Name: Data Engineer

Location: Toronto, ON

Job description:

Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake and DBT for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data solutions. (Must Have)

Proficient in SQL for complex data extraction, transformation, validation, and performance optimization.

Solid understanding of ETL/ELT concepts, data integration, and data quality processes.

Ability to collaborate with business and technology teams to translate requirements into scalable data solutions.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on data accuracy, reliability, and performance.

Python programming experience would be an asset. (Nice to Have)

P&C Insurance domain knowledge is desirable. (Nice to Have)

Understanding of end-to-end data architecture, including data ingestion, transformation, storage, governance, and consumption layers, is preferred.

Exposure to data modeling, data warehousing, and reporting/analytics ecosystems is beneficial.
