Location: Bristol OR London

Hybrid working: 2 days a week onsite

Salary: £90,000 - £110,000 + Bonus, Private health care and an extend benefits package

We're partnering with a leading Financial Services organisation undertaking a significant transformation of its data and analytics capabilities. They are seeking an experienced Data Engineering Manager to lead the strategic direction, enablement, and adoption of a modern cloud-based data platform. (Snowflake)

This is a high-impact leadership role for someone who combines strong technical credibility with the ability to engage senior business stakeholders and translate platform capabilities into tangible business value.

The Role:

As Data Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for the evolution and enablement of a large-scale data platform environment, ensuring engineering teams have the tools, capabilities, and support required to deliver business-facing data products.

Working across both technology and business functions, you will shape platform strategy, lead a multidisciplinary team, and drive adoption of data capabilities that deliver measurable outcomes.

Data Engineering Manager - Key Responsibilities

• Define and drive the technical roadmap for the organisation's snowflake data platform.
• Lead and develop a cross-functional platform engineering team.
• Partner with business and technology stakeholders to align platform capabilities with organisational objectives.
• Enable engineering teams to build scalable, business-facing data products.
• Champion platform adoption, technical enablement, and operational excellence.
• Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Data Engineering Manager - What We're Looking For

• Strong expertise in Snowflake and experience within modern cloud environments. Ideally AWS but Azure, GCP also considered.
• Deep understanding of modern data engineering and platform concepts, with the credibility to influence technical direction and support engineering teams.
• Proven experience engaging a broad range of business and technology stakeholders.
• A track record of driving technical enablement and business value.
• Strong leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills.
