Management Accountant

• 1 day WFH upon successful completion of probation

Take ownership of a broad finance role in a growing Australian business. Having achieved approximately 25% year-on-year growth for the past two years, this newly created position will work closely with the CFO & finance team to provide both management accounting expertise and commercial support across the organisation.

The opportunity

Reporting directly to the CFO, you will take ownership of a broad finance remit while partnering closely with Sales and Operations to provide meaningful financial insights and support informed decision-making.

• Key ResponsibilitiesOwn month-end reporting, including management accounts, journals, reconciliations, variance analysis and Board reporting support.
• Coordinate forecasting, budgeting and financial modelling to support business planning and decision-making.
• Manage statutory compliance (BAS, Payroll Tax, FBT), year-end requirements and small weekly & monthly payroll of 9, liaising with external accountants and auditors as required.
• Business Partnering closely with Sales and Operations, providing financial insights that support commercial performance and decision-making.
• Take ownership of inventory accounting and identify opportunities to improve finance processes, systems and controls.

About you

We’re looking for a hands-on Management Accountant who combines strong technical accounting capability with a commercial mindset and the confidence to engage with stakeholders outside of Finance.

Ideally, you will bring:

• 3+ years' commercial accounting experience
• Accounting or Commerce degree (CA/CPA qualified or currently studying)
• Strong management reporting and forecasting capability
• Exposure to inventory accounting and ERP environments
• Advanced Excel skills
• Excellent communication skills
