The Data Modeling and Architecture Manager leads a team responsible for partnering the Enterprise Data and Analytics Team (EDA) to deliver reporting, analytics, dashboards, and actionable insights that support strategic and operational decision-making across the Bank. This team operates independently from the Enterprise Data and Analytics function and serves as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and data technology teams. The Manager is responsible for establishing priorities, managing resources, developing talent, and ensuring the successful delivery of data solutions that align with organizational objectives. This role partners with the EDA team, Data Engineering, Data Governance, and other stakeholders to ensure reporting and analytics solutions leverage trusted enterprise data, adhere to established standards, and support the Bank's data strategy.

Accountabilities:

Responsibilities/Duties/Function/Tasks:

  • Collaborate with the EDA Manager and business leaders to establish priorities and roadmaps for data integration, data quality, governance, and reporting initiatives.
  • Advocate for business reporting and analytics requirements during enterprise data planning and prioritization activities.
  • Ensure data solutions leverage approved enterprise data sources and align with enterprise data governance standards.
  • Work with the EDA team to identify and resolve data quality, availability, and performance issues impacting reporting and analytics.
  • Lead the enterprise data consulting function by partnering with EDA, business, and technology leaders to align data roadmaps with enterprise strategy and translate strategic initiatives into scalable data solutions.
  • Oversee the mapping of data sources, data movement, and transformation with the goal of ensuring data quality.
  • Ensure creation of models for new data warehouse development and/or changes to existing models follow EDA standards.
  • Oversee the process to document the data architecture and environment in order to maintain current and future state of the enterprise data model.
  • Provide ongoing leadership, mentoring, coaching, and support to team members.
  • Manage relationships with business leaders and department stakeholders.
  • Prioritizing demands and manage team resources to support the Bank’s project portfolio.
  • Translate business needs into analytical solutions delivered in partnership with the EDA team.
  • Establish and maintain enterprise data architecture, data modeling, and platform standards, including Microsoft Fabric, semantic models, data products and self-service analytics capabilities, to ensure scalable, reusable, and governed data solutions.
  • Ensure enterprise data solutions are supported by comprehensive documentation, including data lineage, business rules, mappings, architecture diagrams, and reusable design artifacts.
  • Partner with the EDA team, IT, and business stakeholders to design and deliver high-value analytics, AI, automation, and Microsoft Fabric solutions.
  • Help drive organizational adoption of enterprise data platforms and AI capabilities through stakeholder engagement, training, communication, and change management activities.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years working knowledge of the data supporting business functions such as accounting, lending, securities trading, member operations or equivalent.
  • 8+ years of system design and development experience in data-related positions including data architecture, data modeling, ETL, database administration, database development and report development.
  • 5+ years of experience supporting business functions in a financial services environment such as accounting, lending, securities trading or equivalent.
  • BS degree in finance, engineering, computer science or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge/experience with business analysis of complex business problems.
  • Knowledge/experience with SQL queries, data models and Business Intelligence concepts
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to positively engage, self-motivate, and possess a strong desire to learn
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server databases and related technologies.
  • Strong technical leadership with a thorough understanding of database design principles, practices and the systems development life cycle.
  • Excellent interpersonal, creative, and communication skills that allow effective, proactive working relationships in a team-oriented environment. Adept at simplifying and explaining complex technical concepts to colleagues.
  • Working knowledge of financial instruments and understanding of accounting concepts.
  • Motivated by delivery of pragmatic solutions and long-term benefits.
  • Strong understanding of Bank data and source systems preferred.
  • Able to complete tasks on set budgetary parameters and targets.

Compensation Range:

Annual Salary: $128,211.00 - $152,251.00

This salary range represents the Bank’s good faith and reasonable estimate of possible compensation at the time of hire. Offer to be determined by selected applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills & abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. This role is also eligible to participate in the Bank’s annual incentive plan.
