Head of Data
Indexed description
Are you looking for a data leadership role where you will help to shape an organisations approach to data?
This Midlands based Housing Association is hiring for a Head of Data to take ownership of how data is understood, trusted, and used as a genuine business asset and enabler.
As Head of Data, you’ll have the autonomy to craft your own team and deliver your own vision for data governance, analytics and tooling. You will build a larger data function and will shape how data comes together to help drive business decisions. A data roadmap has been established, and reporting processes exist, however this role will look at breathing new life into the data programme and be the flag-bearer for data across the organisation, while modernising the data approach.
This role is responsible for all things data so you’ll shape the organisation's enterprise data approach. Working closely with your data team and data stakeholders across the group, you'll help define how data is structured, develop the organisation's data capability, and ensure governance is embedded into the technical landscape.
This, therefore, is a great opportunity to forge your own role and team in a sector that makes a genuine positive impact to people’s lives. In Social Housing, every dataset represents a person, a home, and a community. And when data is managed well, it becomes the foundation for better decisions, fairer services, and more meaningful outcomes.
Your role as Head of Data will:
- Lead all data and analytics strategy, architecture and roadmap
- Embed data as a genuine business enabler across the organisation
- Lead the development of the organisation's data capability.
- Help define how data is structured, catalogued and governed across modern data platforms.
- Help shape how AI is governed and introduced safely across the organisation.
- Influence senior stakeholders and build confidence in the organisation's data strategy.
You would be an excellent fit as Head of Data if you have:
- Led, embedded and rolled out data strategy in a regulated environment.
- Developed and delivered data architecture.
- Delivered business intelligence and analytics capabilities.
- Worked across cloud data platforms and modern governance tooling.
- Shaped and grown a data team.
- Influenced senior stakeholders and brought people with you.
You might not have operated at a Head of Data level before, but you will be able to evidence the experience and ability to step up into a genuine leadership role.
This is a role where you will be part of a senior leadership team driving real transformation. You’ll be given the space and backing to build something meaningful in an organisation driven by a social purpose.
This is a West Midlands based hybrid role with the expectation to ideally be in the office once a week.
The salary circa £95,000 with some flexibility upwards for excellent relevant experience.
