Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with relevant business functions to understand the domain and data structure
- Contribute to the solution of various data migration, data modeling, data validation and governance
- Coordinate with stakeholders to understand the data requirements such as user insights, customer journeys, business metrics; translating business requests to meaningful data implementation; perform corresponding analysis to develop datasets, reports, and dashboards using BI tools
- Analyze data for trends and patterns to support business strategic planning
- Collaborate with data engineers to develop efficient frameworks and tools for data quality and data lineage
- Coach business users to get familiar with BI reports
- Perform data audit to identify the cause of mismatched data between systems when needed
Key Qualifications & Experience
- 2 - 5 years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or related fields
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Engineering, Computer Science, or similar majors
- Expert in SQL is a must
- Intermediate hands-on with at least one of the programming languages: Python, R
- Solid experience in designing and working with data warehouses, data marts, and aggregation tables using platforms like AWS Redshift, Snowflake, BigQuery, PostgreSQL, and MySQL
- Familiar with dimensional data modeling for scalable analytics solutions
- Proficient in Power BI and other visualization tools such as Metabase, Looker, or Tableau
- Experience with data cleansing, data transformation, data quality assessment, and statistical analytics
- Good foundation with version control (Git), CI/CD concepts (Docker, Jenkins) and Cloud Computing (AWS, GCP, etc.)
- Mentorship and knowledge sharing mindset, able to guide junior data analysts
- Nice to have:
- Practical knowledge transforming data using dbt (Data Build Tool)
- Experience with some forms of Intelligent Credit Scoring implementation
- Familiar with building Semantic Layer for data platform (Cube, AtScale, etc.)
- Proven abilities to work collaboratively under Agile/Scrum working environments
- Experience with AI-assisted tools to automate data workflows and architect complex data model
