What this role is about
In this role, you will lead a Data Engineering team responsible for building data-driven products and platforms across multiple markets. You will combine technical excellence with people leadership, ensuring that data is delivered reliably, efficiently, and at scale to support business, analytics, and data science use cases.
You will play a key role in shaping the evolution of our data platform and driving the transformation of on-premise solutions into modern cloud-based architectures on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Your responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate scalable data pipelines and ETL processes on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Lead and develop the Data Engineering team, providing both disciplinary and functional leadership while supporting the growth of individual team members
- Coordinate projects, set priorities, and ensure the successful delivery of team objectives
- Optimize data processing workflows for performance, scalability, and efficiency
- Collaborate closely with Data Scientists, Analysts, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Own data quality standards and establish best practices for sustainable and reliable data products
- Define and implement data governance policies and procedures to protect sensitive data
- Drive the migration of existing on-premise data products to the cloud
