Job Description
ServiceNow Development & Configuration
- Assist in developing, configuring, and maintaining ServiceNow applications and modules.
- Support implementation of workflows, forms, catalogs, business rules, client scripts, and UI policies.
- Troubleshoot and resolve basic ServiceNow platform issues.
- Participate in testing, deployment, and release management activities.
- Support platform upgrades and patch implementations.
Automation & Process Improvement
- Assist in identifying opportunities to automate manual processes.
- Develop basic automation scripts and workflows under supervision.
- Support integration efforts between ServiceNow and other enterprise systems.
- Contribute to process optimization and operational efficiency initiatives.
Operational Support
- Monitor platform performance and assist in issue resolution.
- Participate in incident, problem, and change management activities.
- Document configurations, procedures, and technical solutions.
- Provide user and stakeholder support for platform-related inquiries.
Collaboration
- Work closely with senior engineers, developers, and business analysts.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, standups, and retrospectives.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding project status and support activities.
Required Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
- Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
Experience
- 0-3 years of experience with ServiceNow development, administration, or related platform support.
- Basic understanding of IT Service Management (ITSM) concepts.
- Experience with software development fundamentals is preferred.
Technical Skills Requirements
Required Skills
- Basic knowledge of the ServiceNow platform.
- Understanding of JavaScript and web technologies (HTML, CSS).
- Familiarity with ServiceNow modules such as:
- Incident Management
- Change Management
- Problem Management
- Service Catalog
- Knowledge Management
- Understanding of workflow automation concepts.
- Basic troubleshooting and debugging skills.
- Experience using source control/version management tools.
Preferred Skills
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification.
- Exposure to ServiceNow Application Development.
- Knowledge of REST/SOAP APIs and integrations.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
- Experience with PowerShell, Python, or other scripting languages.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms and enterprise IT operations.

A candidate’s pay within the range will depend on their skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to HCL policies. In addition, this role is eligible for the following benefits subject to HCL policies: medical, dental, vision, pharmacy, life, accidental death & dismemberment, and disability insurance; employee assistance program; 401(k) retirement plan; 10 days of paid time off (PTO) per year (some positions are eligible for unlimited PTO); and 10 paid holidays per year.
