What You'll Do
- Plan and conduct stakeholder interviews, user research, workflow analysis, and usability studies.
- Translate qualitative and quantitative findings into personas, journey maps, service blueprints, and prioritized design opportunities.
- Create information architectures, task flows, wireframes, high-fidelity interfaces, and interactive prototypes.
- Design responsive experiences that meet accessibility requirements and account for edge cases, error states, and complex data.
- Partner with product managers, analysts, engineers, and QA to turn design intent into testable acceptance criteria.
- Review implemented work for usability, accessibility, and fidelity; resolve tradeoffs with engineering teams.
- Join an established small business with more than 20 years of experience supporting customers and solving complex technology and mission needs.
- Work remotely within the United States while contributing to meaningful customer outcomes.
- Take ownership of complex work and collaborate directly with experienced technical and program professionals.

Requirements
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in UX design, human-computer interaction, visual design, psychology, information science, or a related field, or equivalent directly relevant experience.
- Seven or more years of UI/UX, product design, interaction design, or related experience, including ownership of complex products or workflows.
- Portfolio demonstrating research-informed decisions, interaction design, prototyping, accessibility, and shipped outcomes.
- Advanced ability to communicate design rationale and collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience designing federal, defense, enterprise, data-intensive, or regulated applications.
- Working knowledge of WCAG 2.2, Section 508, responsive design, and design-token practices.
- Experience establishing or scaling a multi-product design system.
