Location : 100% REMOTE - someone must be in South Florida
Night Shift:
Four 10-hour shifts – Thursday – Sunday, 10pm-8am EST.
Must be onsite in Miami, FL for the first week for training – Training is M-F, 8am – 5pm EST.
Role Overview
An opportunity is available to grow your career as a cybersecurity professional at one of the leading clean energy companies. This position is for a Cybersecurity Analyst on the Threat Detection and Response team within the Advanced Cyberdefense Center. The ideal candidate will have experience in a Cybersecurity Operations Center, focusing on investigations and incident response in either cloud or industrial control system environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform Tier 1 and 2 incident response, managing a queue of incoming tickets from various sources.
- Investigate alerts, including those from Crowdstrike, and process the email queue for reported phishing attempts.
- Administer, operate, and monitor information security sensors, logging, alerting, and other detection mechanisms to identify and respond to threats.
- Work with assigned cybersecurity technology stacks, such as identity and access management, network intrusion detection, or host-based security tools.
- Collaborate with security architecture to identify, evaluate, and recommend new security technologies.
- Communicate ongoing cybersecurity activities, priorities, and risk measurements to multiple organizational levels.
- Provide guidance for security activities and requirements in the system development life cycle (SDLC) and application development efforts.
- Participate in organizational projects as required.
- Demonstrated understanding of cyber fundamentals.
- Knowledge of networking principles.
- Experience with identifying and analyzing phishing attempts.
- Comfort reading and writing Splunk queries to perform searches.
- Experience with Crowdstrike.
- Experience with Tanium.
- Experience with Splunk Enterprise Security.
- Development experience.
- The work schedule for this position is Thursday through Sunday, from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM.
- Onboarding will occur during daytime hours, followed by a transition to the second shift for one to two weeks before moving to the third shift.
- Candidates must be local to South Florida.
