Connect Search is partnering with a well-established manufacturing company in the Green Bay, WI area to identify a HR Business Partner to join its Human Resources team.
This is a great opportunity for an HR professional who enjoys both recruiting and employee-facing HR work and is ready to take on broader responsibility. The role will lead recruiting efforts for salaried positions while serving as the primary HR resource for a local facility, supporting employee relations, performance management, talent development, and other HR initiatives.
The position offers a strong mix of hands-on HR responsibilities and higher-level talent strategy, with the opportunity to expand your scope and build a team as the organization continues to grow.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead full-cycle recruiting for salaried positions across the organization
- Build candidate pipelines and maintain relationships with recruiting partners
- Support employee relations and serve as a resource for employees and managers
- Partner with leadership on performance management, coaching, and workforce needs
- Coordinate performance review and talent management processes
- Support succession planning, employee development, and internal career growth initiatives
- Maintain job descriptions and assist with position and promotion processes
- Support onboarding, employee engagement, and other HR programs
- Assist with leave administration and general employee support
- Help plan employee events and contribute to day-to-day HR administrative needs
- Identify opportunities to improve recruiting and HR processes
- Partner with the broader HR team on company-wide initiatives
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of recruiting, talent acquisition, or progressive HR experience
- Hands-on experience with employee relations
- Comfortable serving as the primary HR resource for a facility
- Experience with performance management, talent development, or succession planning is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Management, Psychology, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered
- Experience working with an ATS and/or HRIS
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Excel
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with a broader HR team
- Willingness to jump in wherever needed, from strategic HR initiatives to employee events and day-to-day support
- PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or similar certification is a plus
This position offers a $75,000–$110,000 base salary, depending on experience. The role will be onsite during the initial training period, with the opportunity for one work-from-home day per week after approximately 90 days. Typical hours are approximately 7:30 AM–4:30 PM with some flexibility.
