Position Summary

Ogletree Deakins has an opportunity for an experienced HRIS Administrator to join the Firm’s expanding practice. The HRIS Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day configuration, maintenance, and user support of the firm's HRIS platform. This role ensures that employee data is accurate and current, HR business processes are properly configured, and that HR staff and managers can use the system effectively. The HRIS Administrator is the hands-on system resource that keeps the firm's HR technology running smoothly.

Essential Functions

  • Maintain HRIS system configuration including organizational structures, position management, security roles, and business process workflows
  • Serve as Tier 2 support for HR staff and manager HRIS inquiries; resolve system access, navigation, and data issues
  • Perform regular data audits to identify and correct inaccuracies in employee records
  • Manage user access provisioning and deprovisioning; ensure security roles are appropriate and reviewed regularly
  • Support HRIS integrations by monitoring data feeds, resolving file errors, and coordinating with the HRIS Manager on escalations
  • Assist with HRIS testing for system upgrades, new configurations, and integration changes
  • Generate standard and ad hoc HRIS reports for HR staff, Finance, and management as requested
  • Maintain HRIS documentation including process guides, user manuals, and configuration records
  • Train new HR staff and managers on HRIS navigation and functionality
  • Support open enrollment configuration, performance review cycle setup, and other annual HR program builds in the system
  • Collaborate with Payroll on data discrepancies and system-to-system reconciliation
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Human Resources, Business, or related field
  • 4+ years of HRIS administration experience with hands-on system configuration responsibilities
  • Proficiency in at least one enterprise HRIS platform (Workday, ADP, UKG, or similar)
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
  • Ability to troubleshoot system issues and escalate appropriately
  • HRIS platform certification preferred; strong Excel skills required
  • Strong understanding of HRIS data architecture, security, and integrations
  • Experience in a high‑growth, multi‑location, or complex organizational environment
  • Ability to handle sensitive data with discretion and integrity
