Senior Assoc, Database Engineer, Group Infrastructure & Cloud, Group Technology

Responsibilities

• Manage the operations for development databases.
• Install, configure, patch, and upgrade database software (Redis and MongoDB). Develop automation for the same, and for autohealing and enforcing required hardening and configuration parameters.
• Design, implement, maintain and automate the appropriate backup and recovery architecture as required.
• Design, implement, and enhance monitoring for servers and database instances to provide a comprehensive overview of health on-demand and historically.
• Design, implement, maintain, and automate the appropriate backup and recovery architecture as required.
• Develop and maintain database solutions, including schema design, optimization, and performance tuning.
• Automate and streamline database-related tasks and processes to improve efficiency and reliability Provide technical support and troubleshooting for database-related issues.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest database technologies, trends, and best practices.
• Troubleshoot NoSQL issues and performance bottlenecks.
• Support as on-call for planned activities or incidents.
• Act as L2/3 support for production databases.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a Data Engineer or Database Administrator.
• Proficient in database technologies such as MSSQL, Redis, MongoDB.
• Strong understanding of database architecture, performance tuning, and optimization techniques.
• Experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining backup and recovery strategies.
• Familiarity with cluster-based setups, delayed replication, and other advanced database concepts.
• Familiarity with Powershell, Bash, Python for automation purpose.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
