Responsibilities
- Design, build, maintain, and run automated test suites for web and cloud-based applications.
- Create clear test plans, scenarios, and cases based on requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Perform manual functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing when needed.
- Develop and maintain automation using Playwright, Selenium, or similar frameworks.
- Log, track, and help troubleshoot defects in partnership with engineering teams.
- Validate application behavior and integrations in GCP or other cloud environments.
- Write scripts and lightweight testing utilities using languages such as Python, Java, C, or C++.
- Support CI/CD workflows by integrating automated tests where applicable.
- Analyze test outcomes, investigate failures, and communicate quality risks clearly.
- Maintain test documentation, evidence, and traceability throughout the development lifecycle.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, refinement, and release readiness activities.
- Collaborate with developers to improve testability and strengthen overall software quality.
- Professional experience in software quality assurance, test engineering, or test automation.
- Strong hands-on experience with Playwright and/or Selenium.
- Experience creating test plans, test cases, test scenarios, and supporting documentation.
- Ability to perform both automated and manual testing.
- Working knowledge of GCP or similar cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.
- Programming experience in one or more languages such as Java, C, C++, or Python.
- Experience troubleshooting test failures and identifying whether issues are related to the application, integration, environment, or automation.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Comfort working in a cross-functional Agile software development environment.
- Direct experience using Playwright in a modern application environment.
- Experience testing applications, APIs, and integrations hosted in GCP.
- Background incorporating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with API and integration testing.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum delivery practices.
- Experience supporting data-intensive, research, healthcare, or complex enterprise applications.
- Exposure to test management or automation tools such as Quality Center.
